Apparently, the cook likes to cook in batches.
I then placed my bowl on the counter and watched as it sat for 10 minutes. Not a big deal, but add that to the fact that I had to walk to the bar to refill my own water and I was annoyed. Even though we walked into the place at 2pm and there were countless tables open, we had to wait. My friend ordered chicken skewers instead of a bowl and the comment I heard was: “panda buffet” would have been better. They seemed reluctant to include any at all and when the bowl came, the meat was scarce. Instead of placing meats in the bowl, I was asked which meat I wanted. the slow service, poor quality meat, and price. Our flattop experience in Lombard was not such an experience. Create your own… pick a sauce… load up the meat… etc.
